Omnicare Pays Over $124 Million to Resolve False Claims Allegations

Omnicare Inc., the largest nursing home pharmacy company in the country, has agreed to pay $124.24 million to resolve False Claims Act allegations initially brought by two whistleblowers, the Department of Justice announced.

Medtronic Pays Nearly $10 Million to Resolve False Claims Allegations

The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced that medical device company, Medtronic, had agreed to pay $9.9 million to resolve False Claims Act allegations that it paid kicbacks to physicians to induce them to implant the company’s pacemakers and defibrillators.
